- Jerry At the Fledge:
- I am trying to work on a framework of how to safely move into the future. A lot of you know me as the owner of the Fledge, but before I did this I was a very good systems engineer and theorist. I’ll post more about this somewhere else later. My point is I am going to design a system that evaluates risk, determines methods for elimination if possible, mitigation if not and then defines required actions – preventive priotized, risk reduction second and controls third. It will have feedback loops based on Plan Do Check Act….. I’m Rambling…. stayed tuned for the paper.
- Working on food distribution for the Fledge Pantry and Lansing Area Mutual Aid
- Working on a HACCP Plan for food distribution, food production and other distribution requirements (masks, electronics, tools and equipment) – also had to revitalize the YouTube Channel for the Fledge so we can put this all out there for redundancy purposes
- Working with LEAP on an exciting project – We will be announcing how the Hatching will be virtualized soon, I think we are making something special
- Working with LEAP on a couple of other projects – contract
- Working with AJ Boggs on a Tele-medicne project – contract
- Working with OT Consulting on a USDA Food Shortage Project – TBD
- Working with OT Consulting on a Resilience Themed Project – TBD

The Fledge will not just open up because someone in the Government says it is ok. We are going to open up when three conditions are met: 1) the community agrees it is time (government, fledglings, community), 2) we have evidence on what is effective and that we are confident we can keep you safe, and 3) we are capable of doing what we deem effective. We are working on a paper for how this is going to work.
I am watching Trump talk on TV right now and am sure that his actions will cause us all to be retreating again by this time next week.
How Smart Tech is helping us: Lights and Switches, Grow Rooms, Video for Who is at the Door, Smart Locks, Automation, Monitoring Temp, Humidity, Particulates in the Air . We are working on a paper to follow (integrates in with how to Open).
Automatic Fans when Doors Unlocked and Opened is hopefully going to decrease the probability of COVID-19 Infected molecules entering the Fledge.
