The Fledge created a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), which enables decentralized decision-making and governance within our organization. This helps to ensure that the Fledge is transparent and accountable. The use of a DAO allows for decentralized decision-making and governance, which can help to ensure that the organization is transparent and accountable. Additionally, the DAO is automated using smart contracts, which makes the Fledge more efficient and reduces the need for manual intervention. The use of a DAO also helps to build trust within the Fledge by ensuring that shared values are applied consistently and transparently. Furthermore, the DAO facilitates collaboration among members of the Fledge by allowing everyone to participate in decision-making and contribute their ideas and expertise. Finally, the DAO provides a platform for innovation by allowing members to propose and vote on new ideas and projects.
To participate in the DAO, a member must possess at least one Fledge Coin (FLDG). FLDG can be earned, gifted, traded or purchased. The currently utility of FLDG includes DAO participation (proposal creation and voting), purchasing Fledge Services (e.g. renting space or studios), and purchasing NFTs (see the Flies below). Liquidity for the coin and the DAO comes from NFT sales and FLDG Purchase, which is driven by utility. FLDG Coin can be traded on SushiSwap for MATIC (Polygon).

What is the vision? We plan on building a great community participating in the DAO by following the same principals at the Fledge in a persistent poverty neighborhood in Lansing, MI: Radical Inclusion, Values Not Rules, Trust First, Sponsor Yourself, Every Damn Day, Project Based Everything, and Genius is lost in Poverty.
The DAO will work toward the same vision and mission of the Fledge, but the governance of the DAO will be direct action from the people in the community. This is our attempt of building equity and justice in the new economy ecosystems.
