Core Beliefs
Core Beliefs guide our values, as we learn more and our beliefs evolve, the values and operational principles will also evolve.
- Global problems require global solutions with local support and local problems require local solutions. We are in the best position to solve our own problems.
- We have all the resources and competencies we need to create abundance
- We are more powerful when we work together
- Wealth consists of well-being and prosperity
- Basic needs are basic human rights
- Poverty is a series of policy decisions
- Racism is a health issue
- We know we know nothing
Values – Feelings
Values are the covenant that we make so that we can have a culture of trust so that we can move the way we do, communicate our beliefs and test our hypotheses.
- Values not Rules
- Rules are racists, classist, sexist, homophobic and oppressive
- Rules enforce the status quo, and the status quo never protects the oppressed
- Trust First
- Starts to repair the damaged trust relationship
- Allows for radical inclusion
- Allows us to create and hold safe spaces
- Radical Inclusion
- Creates the desired chaos
- Leads to diversity
- Leads to equity
- Project Based Everything
- As we learn we create
- “Succeed or learn:” projects allow us to experience failure and failure is an opportunity for growth
- Harm Reduction Everything
- Allows us to iteratively solve problems
- Create no harm
- It is our tool for reinvestment (regenerative)
- We must keep up with advancements in methodology and technology
- Kaizen
